Libraries have traditionally supported biomedical research by collecting, managing, and providing access to knowledge resources such as books and journals. As researcher’s needs evolve due to networked technologies and evolutions in science, it is imperative for library services to evolve with them.

As Associate Director for Knowledge Integration, Research, and Technology, I have investigated new methods for supporting the entire research life cycle. Librarians can integrate new services by through deep support of software tools that assist in data acquisition, manipulation, analytics, and discovery. I have extensive experience providing Continuing Education for the Medical Library Association and believe that medical libraries can have a critical role in helping researchers create and manage knowledge.

My professional interest includes concepts associated with the reproducibility and replicability of science, Open Access models for federally sponsored research, and instructional support of scientific automation software tools.
